The White House

The White House in collaboration with Kylie Haack, Ray White Howick

A 1950s Cockle Bay home, extensively reimagined to bring its original character into a light-filled contemporary setting.

Over three years, The White House was transformed from the inside out, retaining elements of its 1950s character while introducing a more contemporary way of living. Crisp white interiors sit alongside original timber floors, creating a balance of old and new throughout the home.

Our approach to photography focused on preserving that contrast. The whites were kept clean and bright without losing the natural shadows and depth within each space, while the colour grading retained the richness and warmth of the timber flooring.

On the day of the shoot, strong winds moved naturally through the home and its outdoor spaces. Rather than work against them, we used the movement as part of the imagery, capturing a series of postcard-style moments that brought a more relaxed, lived-in quality to the campaign.
